If the Red Sox get neither Jason Bay or Matt Holliday, the likelihood is that the 2010 lineup will be even worse than 2009. The Sox may be forced to rely on stop-gap measures like Bobby Abreu, who will be a free agent again after a very productive year for the LA Angels.
